Strong winds and torrential rains toppled thousands of houses after super Typhoon Rolly made landfall in Bato, Catanduanes, on November 2020.

Storm signal No. 5 was also raised in the hardest-hit island province damaging the towns of Gigmoto, Baras, Virac, and San Andres.

“Every time there is a typhoon warning, it gets me scared. I don’t want my family to experience the same terror of Typhoon Rolly ever again,” shares Manuela Bermas, 41.

Manuela is one of the recipients of basic building materials in the town of Bato, Catanduanes.

“We used to borrow our neighbor’s door since our own door has been washed out. Having our own windows and door make me feel more secured. Thank you, Operation Blessing, for coming here to help and for letting us feel that we are never alone,” she gratefully added.

Your support enables Operation Blessing to provide ongoing rehabilitation assistance to the most vulnerable families affected by the typhoon.

Rolly is the most powerful typhoon to hit the country in 2020 to date, but with your generosity and help, we can brave the strongest typhoons together.
