Families in two villages in Pilar, Bataan, north of Manila, are rejoicing at the newly built water wells in their communities. This means no more diarrhea and digestive problems, and no more long distances to walk just to fetch clean water.
“In many parts of the world, water is precious. Every time I dedicate a well, it reveals about the blessings of God and His goodness,” Kairuz said. “We need to be reminded that we should never take anything for granted just because we turn the tap and water comes out.”
“This well is a very big blessing for us because it is so near! We don’t have to travel far for clean water anymore. And the water is very clear… Truly, it is living water!” she said. A young mother from Brgy. Ala-uli testified that nobody in the village has gotten sick of diarrhea since the well started working several days before the dedication. “We used to filter our water (from an old well) using a white cloth,” Karen Santos, 24, said. “Now, there is no need to do that. We are so happy because we now have water that is really clean and safe.” Ten-year-old Ernesto Perez describes the water as “sweet.” He is one of the children in the neighborhood who have experienced digestive problems due to unclean water. For the P50,000 you give to build a well, more families around the country can have changed lives—a happier and healthier life. |

Just this week, Operation Blessing president and The 700 Club Asia host Peter Kairuz was in Pilar town to dedicate one well in Brgy. Wawa, and another in Brgy. Ala-uli. An initial total of 22 wells will be built in the towns of Bagac, Pilar and Samal before the year ends.
Loida de Guzman, 47, a villager from Brgy. Wawa whose residence is only a few meters from the new well, couldn’t hide her gratitude.
