The Philippine Army recently awarded Operation Blessing (OB) as Non-Government Organization (NGO) of the Year for 2007, for its efforts in promoting peace and nation-building in impoverished provinces in the country.

Operation Blessing uses a holistic approach to achieve its vision of transforming a family and, eventually, an entire community from a life of poverty and misery to one of self-sufficiency and dignity.

Bless-a-Child:
Adresses the health needs of malnourished pre-school children through the provision of nutritionally balanced meals, free education, and monthly health care for one whole year.

Back-to-School:
Offers education sponsorships for impoverished children in the form of school fees, supplies and uniforms.
