Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, Inc. works to fight hunger, disease, unemployment, illiteracy, and abuse-- one family, one community at a time.  The worldwide mission of Operation Blessing is to demonstrate God’s love by alleviating human need by feeding the hungry and caring for the weak.  Through medical intervention and disaster relief, provision of education, coaching for the development of life skills and micro-enterprise activities, and addressing basic health and nutrition needs, Operation Blessing exemplifies Christian compassion and benevolence.  Established in 1996, Operation Blessing is the humanitarian arm of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN Asia).

Over the past 11 years, hundreds of Operation Blessing teams have gone to areas where most of us have never been before.  Whether aboard helicopters, trucks, bancas or on foot, Operation Blessing staff and volunteers will travel for hours or even days, to reach places where medical care is critical, food and clean water is scarce, lack of education and illiteracy is pervasive, and living conditions are miserable.

To date, more than a million of the poorest of the poor Filipinos have been healed, treated, fed, bathed, schooled, counseled and trained through various humanitarian outreaches spearheaded by Operation Blessing or in collaboration with other partner agencies present in our target localities such as non-profit  organizations, the local government unit, some national government offices, such as the Department of Health and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and even the Armed Forces of the Philippines..

Who we serve:
Throughout our mission and ministry, Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines has cared for the most under-served sectors of Philippine Society:

Children
Operation Blessing has brought health and life back to nearly 2,000 children in impoverished places through its feeding and education programs. More than 60,000 children, mostly orphans, special children, street kids and children in slum areas have been treated to Christmas gift-giving parties during the Holiday Season. Poor children born with cleft lip/palate are given a chance to live normal lives through free corrective surgery.

Women
Operation Blessing empowers women through the provision of skills training for single women and mothers, giving them confidence to live self-sufficient and decent lives.  Various training for life skills is being sponsored in areas where poverty and unemployment are a major concern.

The rural poor communities in hard-to-reach areas
Distance and danger are never a hindrance for Operation Blessing, as it has gone to rebel-infested, poverty-stricken areas of Basilan, Sulu, Marawi, Maguindanao, Lanao and Tawi-tawi, and in other critical, hard-to-reach areas in the Philippines to bring basic healthcare, disaster relief aid and livelihood opportunities.

The urban poor slums
Marginalized communities such as Payatas and many other barangays across Metro Manila have also received assistance in various forms such as healthcare, feeding and scholarship programs for children. Livelihood opportunities such as job training sessions in various fields are also provided to help them acquire technical and entrepreneurial skills.

Uneducated and Unemployed Adults
Operation Blessing, under its Mobile Out-of-School Training (MOST) program, funds the 3-month training course on various fields of out-of-school youth and jobless adults.  The training aims to equip these people with life skills to help them lead responsible lives.  Courses include: Cosmetology, Dressmaking, Practical Electricity and Refrigerator and Air Conditioning Repair.  Each course also comes with values education sessions.
